Yanovskiy Y.М. The history of the western huns of the end of the IV-middle of the VI cent. in the historiographical coverage
- The article deals with scientific concepts, interpretation approaches, research issues and the range of complex and insufficiently studied questions in the content of historiography, associated with works of famous scientists – historians, archaeologists, linguists, journalists, cultural and ethnologists, during the last two centuries presence on the European continent in the V – first half VI century of the Huns military alliance, Huns political factor and its state. The author also examines the differences in the conclusions of modern scientists regarding ethnic origin of Huns, its role and significance in European history, causes disappearance of the historical arena in the middle of the VI century.
