- Tab 1 content goes here.The article characterizes the native and foreign historiography formation and development of medieval chronicle of the medieval town Khotyn located on the Dnister River. The new vision to its value at the initial stage of development is given. It is observed that due to the strategic location of fortifications it was possible to settle reinforced pier which covered crossing across the river. It can be identified with chronicle Plav.
