  • The article investigates basic stages and directions of technological evolution of handicraft tile industry in Ukraine in the second half of XIX – the first third of the XX century. The dynamic increase of the handicraft tile workshops in Ukraine in this period is stated. The traditional ways of tile making were significantly perfected. The handicraft tile was widely used in Ukrainian countryside.
